Aims and scope

Perspective Politice / Political Perspectives (PP) is an international, open access, peer reviewed annual journal published in print and digital format by the Faculty of Political Sciences of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest.

PP welcomes articles in all fields of social and political sciences, aiming to cover the latest developments regarding political currents and ideologies, theoretical models, and research methods, in order to establish a space of dialogue where academics and intellectuals can shape and enhance their ideas. The topics accepted by Perspective Politice include, but are not limited to internal and international political analysis, rational choice theory, comparative politics, institutionalism, political theory, ethics, history of political thought, law and administrative studies, and political communication. Polemical exchanges between authors, built around methodological approaches or research results, are encouraged, given that they can add clarity and relevance to our academic field.

PP is indexed in several databases and is archived in the Legal Repository of the National Library of Romania.

PP was founded in 2006 by Andrei Taranu and Virginia Mircea, initially as a subscription-based publication. Since 2009, the journal has flipped to a fully open accessed model with the post-2009 archive material available on the journal's website.

Currently, PP is published annually by the Faculty of Political Sciences of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest as an open access journal. Before publication, each submitted paper is subject to a double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.

******************************************************************************************

Perspective Politice is addressed to all researchers and practitioners interested in political theory and science, i.e. a theoretical corpus that brings together a universe of currents, theoretical models and research methods of the immediate political reality, in order to build a forum where intellectuals and academic expertise can theoretically reconfigure the reality. PP is open to any paradigm and methodology of approaching politics, from internal and international analysis to rational choice theory, comparative politics, institutionalism, political theory, ethics, history of political thought, etc. As results from its title, various political perspectives are natural in a plural, dialogical, reflexive, and deliberative society”.
