Author Charges

PP publishes all its articles in full open access.

Authors pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of various publishing operations (administration and management, submission, peer-review, proofreading, production, indexing and archiving, other editorial assistance). There is no option to process an advance payment. There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges, and no surcharges based on the length of an article, figures or supplementary data. Some items (Editorials, Corrections, Addendums, Retractions, Comments, etc.) are published free of charge.

The total amount of the APC (all costs required for manuscript processing) is 50 EUR (or its equivalent in the before listed accepted currencies).

PP is committed to supporting the transition of all research to fully open access, therefore we regularly offer APC waivers or discounts. They may be granted on a case-by-case basis. Applications submitted before article submission are assessed by the Editor-in-Chief based on the quality of the research article and the authors’ ability to pay. The authors are also advised to check for research grants or institutional grants for the payment of the APC.

PP accepts payments in Euro (EUR), US Dollars (USD) or Romanian New Leu (RON). Upon acceptance, the corresponding/submitting author will receive an e-mail with a link where the currency of the invoice can be changed. APC is payable in 10 to 15 working days. PP currently supports debit/credit card as main payment methods (please have in mind various transfer fees, so that the publisher receives the full invoice amount). Invoices are emailed shortly after acceptance to the payment contact provided by the authors. Only official invoices issued by SNSPA are valid. We do not authorize any third party to collect the APC. The publisher cannot be held liable for actions by third parties.
