Abstract
The article explores the ways in which the school mediator succeeds or fails in his or her work in Bucharest. The author has looked into all aspects of the school mediator's work, drawing not only on the mediator's job description but also on real insights from the field, namely the schools and communities in which mediators work and the NGOs with which they cooperate.
