Abstract

The aim of this article is to investigate the problem of gifted children in the Romanian educational system, analyzing it through the perspective of the normative model of sufficientarianism. I start my argumentation from the assumption that, in the sufficientarian Romanian educational system, while trying to prioritize the distribution of benefits to the needs of children suffering from various forms of disability, the existence of the gifted and children with high potential is not taken into account. And these children have special educational needs of their own. At the same time, I intend to verify if there is at least one sufficientarian model that could solve the problem of distribution towards gifted children. For doing that, I will compare 3 sufficentarian distributive models, closely following the matter at hand.
